Sarah and Chuck circle around their feelings for each other for three years before they are finally ready to express them directly. What are you saying? At the professional level, they have to progress from a relationship of handler and asset to equal spy partners; at the personal level, they have to progress from a relationship of mother hen and boy toy to equal life partners. Only then are they ready to finally be really together. No more covers.
Wanted to get your thoughts on 3.12. After Sarah briefs the general and Chuck comes in what does sarah think Chuck is going to say before he finally says I love you. Did she know or is she taken off guard.
Hi Angelo,
I think Sarah knows what’s coming. The moment Chuck says, “Since I’ve already given the fancy and eloquent speech before,so now I’m just going to be blunt and honest,” she knows what’s coming and steels herself because spies are not supposed to have feelings or talk about them. In fact, she even says, “Chuck, you don’t have to…” (talk about your feelings).
